Hi everyone,

We applied by email to the Manchester consulate around 7 weeks ago just as the strikes started, as of now we still have no acknowledgement or update if our appointment has been accepted.

There is no telephone contact just emails, to which no reply.

We are aware of London and Edinburgh are still moving on applications but has anyone who has to go to Manchester heard anything in the last month or so?

Any update on the Manchester consulate would be very helpful to us.

Thank you.

Thanks Mike..

Please could I ask, did you email for your appointment and do you still know which address you emailed. I'm sure we've emailed the correct address but you never know.

Thanks

JBT

Hi,

I wasnt aware that there was a strike.

I applied for a visa appointment in February for a date in early May and I have now been and attended tha appointment.

To the best of my knowledge I applied for a date online on TLS website and it produced a list of free dates and time slots for me to choose Shortly afterwards I then received an email from them temporarily confirming my appointment and giving me 72 hours to pay the service fee otherwise the appointment would be cancelled.

So it seems to me that your appointment has been lost in the system and it might be worth ringing them or starting again.

My visa was for France but I assume the system is the same for all the countries they handle.

hope this helps

Thanks for the message.

I'm not sure but sounds like you've used an agent perhaps.

Whether using an agent or applying direct, you have to go via your regional UK spanish consulate.

We are led to believe Manchester hasn't started back yet from their strike. We have emailed twice already.

We have spoken with other sources who sad Manchester isn't responding to them either.

Really frustrating when you have to pay for documentation which the validity will be out of date by the time we get our appointment so will have to pay again for new ones. .

Once we emailed for our appointment yes we got a reply with confirmation and gave times. You have to make sure you've emailed correct address as they changed it last year so they'll be different ones floating about. JBT
