Hi
We previously had several holidays in different sections of Camposol and decided that it had a lovely community spirit wasn’t too far to the beach, the Airport or to shopping precincts. We initially decided that we liked sector A the best, but the prices there just kept going up, so to get more for our money we decided to go further afield. We went into Another World Properties and met Vinny & Sue who were brilliant, really helpful, really friendly and throughly pleasant people, they showed us some properties but at that particular time we were still waiting for our English house to sell so couldn’t buy on Camposol, we also went into Mercers and met Lee, who again was so nice, helpful & pleasant. Don’t touch To buy, to rent, to sell unles you want to be told what your buying not asked what you want!! We were advised of flooding issues, embargo problems etc from both the estate agents we went into, plus we holidayed just after the gotafria happened in September 2014 (the drainage system is being updated as I type) so hopefully this won’t happen again.
We used PALS solicitors, they were ok but I would suggest that you might want to shop around. I would recommend that using Currencies Direct is a brilliant way of transferring money, the girls are really helpful (& English which helps), you will need to open a Spanish Bank account before purchasing, and you will need lots of documentation to prove who you are to do this, you will also need an NIE number, ask if you need advice on this!! We found it cheaper to buy a villa with a pool than one without! And our villa on sector D (Neptuno De-Luxe) cost us approx €130000 in May last year.
Hope this info helps if you need more let us know.
Good luck Baz n Lynne
