New to this so bear with me

We are looking to move permanently before 31st December as being made redundant in the Uk. We are in the process of selling our house but looks like it won’t complete until January at the earliest . Is it possible to start the process of becoming resident in December having being told it will take 4 months so long as we have it being loggedbefore 31st December so we will be non residents when the house sale goes through will we then have pay CGT . Second question could anyone advise what you need to have in bank account when applying for residenta as we have been told between 10k to 16500

Thanks in advance for all you help

Hi Bella

Get in touch with Debbie Shaw, she lives on Camposol and is also on Facebook, she will certainly give you all the 'correct' information you need, she doesn't mess about and does this for a living. Good luck and a warm welcome awaits you on Camposol. X

Regards Gloria

You will need to probably rent here unless you can afford to buy and move in before end of the year.   But as per previous writer Debbie Shaw is the best person to discuss this all with.

Regards

Helen

Look at the shengan rules. An income of 2000 k per month. Needed.  Plus health insurance etc etc.  Unless resident before December, basically no go. Our prime minister has decided Oct 15th cut off point. However Dominic Cummins ( the real prime minister, not the nodding donkey). Does not seem to want an agreement. So  you seem to need to seriously look at the rules governing the Shengang rules

Hi we are just going through the process and we are using Fiona Harvey [email protected] who has been very helpful and informative.

You need to go on the padron 1st and it needs to be less than 3 months old. We needed to supply ibi bill nie utility bill and deeds. We also had to get a notra simple from the registry office and all pages of our passports copied. Each persons circumstances differ. We own outright not working and under age 60. We needed just over €9000 in our spanish bank account and health insurance.

Hi Sunnyspain, can I ask who you used, and an indication of price, for your health insurance? Cheers

Hi thanks for the reply. We also own outright in Spain. We are trying to sell our Uk home . Looks like it will go through mid December . What I am trying to ask and not doing a very job of it (lol) if we manage to sell the property and come over before 31december and start the ball rolling as in getting it logged . Are we classed as non residents until it has been completed or once the application is initiated obviously as non I believe we can only be in Spain for 90 days and not return for 180

Hi we are using Fiona Harvey she is very good. We went for Assa for health cover for residencia as you can use the doctors on Camposol. Cost was just over 1700 per annum for both under 60 and we are on no regular medication
