Voluntary work
Hi there. I'm planning to spend a few months in Camposol next summer as I've just retired. Is there much voluntary work around Camposol as I like to keep active?

Hi there,
There are numerous groups on Camposol that rely on volunteers. They include:
The gardening groups on each sector that usually carry out their work on one day of the week, depending on which sector. This is physical work.
MABS, which is an organisation the cares for cancer patients, and uses volunteers to support their work.
Age Concern, that has its own house on C sector and runs a number of activities on Camposol for elderly residents.
There are numerous animal charities, some based on Camposol, others nearby. One to mention is the Perrera Dogs, which asks volunteers to walk dogs that would not otherwise be exercised, on a Tuesday and/or Friday morning. There are others that run shops, which take donations of goods from the public and sell them through the shops. These have volunteers.
So to summarise, there will be plenty of opportunities for you. Most of the Camposol charities have Facebook pages, so, if you are a Facebook user, you may like to do some searches on pages such as “Camposol”, “Mazarron News and Views”, “Preguntas y Mas”. If you are a UK national and not resident, the desire of to stay several months will be limited to a rolling 90 in 180 days.
Good luck and I hope you find a rewarding volunteer opportunity.

There is a small horse and donkey sanctuary just off of Camposol Sector A on the road to El Saladillo. They are always looking for help there.
Good luck
