Can anyone give me advice as my latest water bill was very high due to a burst pipe which resulted in me going overdrawn and the bill has been returned to the water board.  The bank told me they cannot help  and I need to go to Aqualia direct.

I rang them when I was in Spain and they said that I takes a week to reject and to call back in a week.  I am now in the UK and I cannot get through to the Spanish contact numbers from the UK.  Does anyone have contact details I can use from the UK.   Or do you know if Aqualia will automatically try and take payment again.

I don’t want to be cut off.    Any help would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks Sue

Its too late now but why not set up online access with Aqualia ??

Get you bills etc emailed. Its easy enough to do & in English.

Don't want to dampen your day but exactly the same thing happened to me , water bill was three times what it should have been due to a leek , like you I did not have enough credit in bank to cover the bill, and the banks here certainly don't help in fact they will see you suffer even though it's not your fault. I tried to contact Aqualia but to no avail having rang 5 times to speak to someone and waiting over 4 hrs on phone as I was desperate to sort out before returning to the UK,. Sadley my water was cut off but then when I wanted to pay my bill and reconnection fee they answered the phone in seconds ?????. Sadley this is Spain , totally corrupt and they think that all expats are millionaires, thank god the sun shines every day.

Keep your spirits up and let let the stupidity of Spanish beaurocracy and corruptness get you down .
