Can any one help re electric charges

You or your solicitors need to contact iberdrola and have this insurance removed

thanks very much Chris, I will log onto their site so I can access the break down in charges in English,

Contact Iberdrola and request they remove the extra services for you - this saved us monies on monthly basis. I've left the kw at 5.5kw, not changed the tariff, will do in due course. Currently pay around 30 euro's a month.

Just to add to the comments above...

The Payment Insurance premium is the equivalent of PPI - it is insurance that would pay your electricity bills for you if you couldn't for reasons that are covered by the policy.

Chris500 - the Electrical Emergency Service that you have cancelled provided (as the name implies) emergency electrical repairs to all your wiring from the meter - and you will probably find that this product also provided you with consumption discount of 10% that is also shown on your bill - it's common in Spain to offer one product with a discount of another part of the same service.

Many thanks to everyone.  Now been online and going to take off the insurance as not needed, and will also look to see if we need 5.75kw or can maybe go lower, plus go on the night rate

I had the same problem as you. 

Someone else set electricity for me and they added others things that is optional, like: insurance,services etc.

I called iberdrola and asked them to remove all the optional things. 

I have downloaded iberdrola app and reduced the the potencia (electricity power) from 5.5KW to 3.45 KW ,i use to pay 32 € per month, i now paying half.
