Can anyone help. Last IBI bill I had was for 2018. I pay by DD but noticed have not had one for 2019 has anyone else had it come through yet. If so I will need to go to my bank or town hall to see why it hasn't been taken out when I'm next over.
My IBI payment for 2019 was taken from my bank account by DD on October 9th 2019.
I am on Camposol.
The best thing to do would be to get your solicitor the sort this for you if you have one.
Penalties will accrue if not paid on time.
The penalties are not large but will mount up.
My IBI was not paid for 5 years many years ago my solicitors dealt with it for me & managed to get the penalty charges removed.
Hope that is a joke, or do you advocate denying all your legal financial responsibilities?

I phoned up Sabadell and they said it wasn’t a direct debit even though I had direct debit on the statement from ibi in my account and I had paid it for 4 years. So they were no help so what I will do is go to the office behind the town hall in Mazarron get them to give me what I owe go back to the bank and once again ask for direct debit. I know I will have to pay a bit extra as I am now one year behind it’s just a pallava that I have to go to town hall again and repeat process. Sabadell must have set it up wrong or done something wrong a year ago anyway they can wait till April when I come over. Hate lining up in the bank for ages but I like to do things right. Thanks for your help everyone.

So the Spanish don’t pay anything. Yes, I’ve only been here just under a year so have yet to discover the deviousness that goes on. So could you with your clearly vastly superior knowledge pray tell us who does pay for public services in Spain? And just because you have been here longer and picked up a few things we inferior mortals are unaware of does not warrant telling them to grow up!
