Hi

Trying to register online to see my electricity bill and can't do it as first box says "Tax number" and when I put in my NIE number it says wrong number.

I am a non resident home owner and have been paying my bills by direct debit for the past year. Am I missing something here? Or do I have to do it over the phone?

Cheers Dave

Are you using this website ??

https://www.curenergia.es/home

Iberdrola is now known as Curenergia

I can't log into my Iberdrola account but can log into the Curenergia account.

Only suggestion I can give re the NIE number is to leave out the hyphens in the NIE number that might be the cause.

Hi Roland

As soon as I posted I thought I'd try 1 more time and tried the hyphen removal and it worked. Lol... So you are correct there. I logged onto Iberdrola and saw all my previous bills. So all working fine for me logging into Iberdrola. Maybe next time I'll have to log in using the other site/name you mentioned?

Reason for all this is gonna shop around for cheaper electric. On 5.75kw tariff at moment paying roughly 90 euros a month. We have holiday home with a pool. Visit on average every 6 weeks.

Cheers

That is rather expensive if you're not there are the time. We pay 120 euros/month in the cheap months (no airco), and 140 euros/month when airco on cold in summer and now on warm.

Re electricity bills. - -Electricity is very expensive here, even on off-peak tariff. ( I believe it's cheaper in UK.)  If you are having difficulty believing your usage, you can speak to someone in person( when you are here )if you go to Serrano electricals in the Port . The lady there speaks English and is very helpful. I have just been because I received a letter from Iberdrola giving me a 12% reduction for loyalty. I telephoned them as instructed, to claim this, and was diverted to online claiming which was a dead loss because I couldn't supply answers to all their questions. When I went to the shop in person I was given a reduction in bills of 50% and the opportunity to change my off-peak electricity usage hours to suit me, I also  changed to a paperless account system at the same time as I already pay through the bank. Iberdrola remain the chief, and most stable suppplier here in Spain. Be careful, because if you have problems with a new one you will be charged a big re- connection fee if you want to go back again.

Glad you are sorted Davek.

Your biggest problem is your 5kw supply & the standing charge applied.

That's the reason I did not upgrade my supply.

Spanish comparison website here.

@ Christine75.

You are saying you got a 50% reduction in your electric bills !!!!!!!

I just cannot believe that.

Please show your figures to substantiate your claim of a 50% reduction in your iberdrola bills.

I am sure lots of other people would love to reduce their electric bills by 50%

Roland, I have only just been to make these arrangements, -  so I am eagerly awaiting the results in my next bills,(  I hope I'm not disappointed )  Even if I only receive 12% off as promised in writing, it will be an achievement I haven't had in 17 years of loyalty.I must say I couldn't manage on a lower input of power and all the inconvenience it causes in outages.
