Holiday in the summer (hopefully)

Hello everyone, I hope you’re keeping safe and well in these uncertain times. Tony and I live in the UK and want to rent a place in Cartagena this summer/autumn. We would like to try “living” in Spain, possibly Cartagena or surroundings. Does anyone have a suggestion about location please. Tiny speaks Spanish. We are sociable, like museums, galleries and tony wants to improve his Spanish. I like the u3a activities and keeping fit and we both live walking. Kind regards Anne xxx

Do take note that you may only spend 90 days in any 180 in the EU, so avoid long-term rentals etc. It could prove very expensive to overstay (and they will know).

In normal times Cartagena in the summer is very busy and very hot although theres lots of history and museums etc...its a lovely city for daily visits but not to stay long term.Look at the small towns along the Mar Menor..there are plenty!...Los Nietos, Los Urrutias are Spanish holiday towns with a small number of Brits...or if you want something with more to do look at Los Alcazares..or even inland slightly...Torre Pacheco, Roda, Sucina..all within about 20/30 mins from Cartagena

I agree with Crizzy....

From Los Nietos is a train to Cartagena (every hour)

Other villages are Mar de Cristal, Los Belones, Cabo de Palos.....
