As all new residencia applications are now for the TIE card, I would recommend that you use a gestor, who will know the current procedure (as it is changing day by day) and also have contacts at the police station. They're cheaper than a solicitor and often more knowledgeable because this is what they do every day.

We had an appointment at Cartegena police station yesterday and had our fingerprints taken. We used Fiona Harvey who made the appointment and met us there to translate in case of any problems. Her email is [email protected]
As we have limited Spanish we used David Ruiz from Abaco Advisors. He made sure all was in order and then found the offices that would accept our application. We were lucky, it all went through on 30 th January!

Alot of changes have been made since July. For example our ibi receipt was not accepted and we needed the actual bill and every page of passports needed photocopying even the blank pages!
