I hope you don't mind but I'm moving to Cehegin with my young family at the end of August & notice this post from 2015... I just wondered if you was still in the area & if so what it's like? Or any info about the town would be very much appreciated.

In response to “Newbie Nov 2017” we have lived here three years now and love it. With regard to good places, Eats wise, La Pastora at the top of the hills above Moratalla is great with amazing views. We personally love La Almanzara, which is signposted from the crossroads at the Ferreteria in Cehegin. Our favourite Tapas Bar is Barandica in the old town. The garden bar near the fountain in the centre of town is a great bar. Places to see I am sure you have been told but our visitors always live The Sanctury in Calasparra, The church in Caravaca and Cehegin old town is beautiful and once a month in the square at the top of the town there is an artisan market. Meeting up other expats there is a Royal Brisitsh Legion group based here in “Murcia North” they meet fairly regularly, have quizzes, dinners etc. There next meeting is Thursday this week 8th Feb at the La Tapizzeria, Avenida Cuidad de Mataro No 12, Cehegin, 30430 at 7pm . Hello!!!! I am Secretary to an animal rescue association "Colitas y Bigotes". We have volunteers from all around the area, Mula, Cehegin, Calasparra, Bullas. We are always looking for new members to help us ... be it fund raising, helping in oir charity shop, fostering or transporting animals...etc. we are a very sociable group, and often hold social and fund raising events which are a good way to meet new people. On Friday 9th we are holding a fund raising lunch at Bar el Cristo in Mula. ..please message me if you would be interested to join us.

Hello, we are dutch and our house is in La Bermeja campo.

There is a shop in Caravaca de Cruz with old, some antique furniture. It is in Industrial area, at the round about there is a sign 'rastro' that means second hand. Follow the sign on your right hand you find the shop.

last sunday of the month April there is a second hand market in Cehegin. Info on the tourist info from Cehegin, they have a website. Last sunday of April.
