We are having a (long overdue) sort out. Our video recorder was thrown away several years ago but we still have about 70 VHS videos.

Before I chuck 'em in the bin (in Cehegin, northwest Murcia), does anyone want them??

I'm expecting a resounding silence ......

Charity shop would probably take them.

I don't know of a single one in Cehegin.

I don't think they've been invented yet, we're still steam-driven up here.

Heehee. Those were the days.

You decide to watch a film, realise that you haven't rewound it from the last time, wait (seemingly for ages) for it to get back to the start then press play. Then you remember that there are about a dozen blimmin' trailers for other films in which you have absolutely no interest and fast forward too much and miss the beginning of the film. Then the picture freezes and you have to fast forward to get over that bit. Finally, having watched the film, you press eject and the machine won't give you the video cassette back.  😬😬😬

That would have been a valuable antique by now. I notice this is just a conversation between us two!! No hordes of discerning people clamouring to obtain this fine collection of videos.

Oh yes, remember those days very well.  Crickey, got told off from the video hire shop for not rewinding the tapes.

Apologies to those of you (many I'm sure) who have been frantically trying to reorganise your bookshelves to make space for this feast of cinematic treasures.

They's in da bin.
