Hi, After living here for a while, we thought we really must sort out our residencia. We have appointments for next February at the Murcia city oficina de extranjeros.
Our Spanish translator has told us that the Murcia oficina is asking for applicants to have 7,000 Euros EACH in a Spanish bank account. We don't and we won't by February! We are UK pensioners. We have state and other pensions, we are not rich but our income is quite a bit above the minimum generally required. My husband is already in the Spanish health system, I have form S-1. We have paid off our mortgage (yay!). Our translator is aware of our status.
It seems that the requirement to have this chunk of money in the bank is not required over the border in Alicante province. Is it just Murcia? Any information greatly appreciated.
