New tv converter box

Hi, Not quite sure what you mean by "box"....have to assume it is an old free to view/sky box? If it has a SCART output, you can get a SCART to HDMI cable (Try Media Markt). You mention coax cable but that can only be from your sat dish to your old box.....you do not connect coax cables direct to TVs (well apart from TNT and I doubt you have that!)

I had the same problem. I had a 10 year old sky box & bought a new smart tv.

You need one of these.

Can you not just download the app you need on the TV?

I have a Smart Samsung tv and have found all the apps I need within the system if not I just went to interne and downloaded from there.

Sorry Ed, we are talking about a connecting cable not an app. The "box" is old so is not smart and cannot connect wirelessly to the TV.
