Hi.

I have a parcel I need to send from the U.K. to Alicante. It’s quite fragile.

Have you done this before and who did you use ?

TIA

I would suggest that you contact DHL or one of the other delivery companies who operate in the area, taking into consideration that the parcel will probably need to go through Spanish customs and may be charged import duty on the contents. They will want a list of the contents, the value of the contents and if it is something that has been purchased from a UK company, an invoice from that company. Sometimes the customs charges will be more than the value of the articles in the parcel, so be prepared to be shocked!

Until postal strikes end I would delay sending. We are still waiting for mail posted last November, it will be in a postal depot somewhere with other parcels piled on top. Thankfully ours is not fragile.

Is that postal strikes in Spain or the U.K. ?

Use a delivery service. Postal service is dodgy.

I would try using a comparison site for the courier service I have given details of a good one below.

Hurrah, the two small parcels sent from U.K. same day last November arrived today. Relieved.

Wasn’t planning on using Royal Snail.

DPD, UPS, DHL etc.

DHL are front runner at the moment.
