Hi, could anyone tell me where I can get a metal gate for an upstairs apartment, the smaller one that let's you onto the front terrace.

Thanks, Jacquie

Hi Steve, thanks for that. We priced in Pack Molina but it was about €300 for our upstairs apartment. We thought very expensive. Can I ask are you in an upstairs apartment ?

Hi Jacquie.

Yes upstairs, i had the quote yesterday, but as I said it is metal not Aluminium. The ones in molina are aluminium, the best price I've had for aluminium is from Kevin's fly screens €250, which is probably the best long term as it wouldn't need repainting. Hope that helps. PS we are going for a aluminium one.

Right..... Is it still the dark brown colour then or silver ? And can I just ask if you have had fly screens fitted by Kevin and approx price if you have? (Can you tell we haven't been on Condado long), We completed in January last year, and came out for a week in May, then were over in January for a week Alicante Airport was on fire the night before our early morning flight over the next day, then it was flooded in departures when we flew home, the drive at 5am in that storm was terrifying, and our apartment started to flood in under the front door, as the rain was lashing straight onto it, but we had to come away and leave it, had no other choice. So that's the first job to be done when we come back over for 3 weeks in July ! Where abouts on Condado are you, and have you been there long?

Hi Jacquie,

Yes it's the brown one you could also have white, we had a price for the brown fly door €390, You say you had problems with flood water going under the door, we also had that problem Kevin actually fixed that for us, he fitted a flood deflector to the bottom of the door, it was only about €30 but that was back in 2012 which is when we bought the apartment which is on Jardine 4 not far from Condado club.

Thanks Steve. When we came over last January, we rented a downstairs property on Jardine 1. It made us doubly sure we wanted an upstairs appt with roof terrace. We bought on Naranjos 3 which is nearer to golf and al kazar. We absolutely love it but have had a few teething problems, one being not having enough hot water for 2 people to have a shower, and no chance of a bath ! Think we'll need to have a plumber have a look at it as that can't be right.

Hi Jacquie,

Yes the boiler is not that big, you could get a plumber to take a look.

It should be OK for showers. as for a bath. It's not great, we had ours taken out and replaced with a walk in shower. Just make sure the thermostat is turned right up on the boiler.
