Hiya. I don't live on Condado but have a holiday home there. Generally those who do are a very nice and welcoming group. But, as with every town, village etc, there's a few that delight in tearing the place apart. My advice is ignore them. They are not worth the time. Obviously there are some negatives but few and far between. I also assume you've registered on the Condado de Alhama facebook sites? Again, take the negative with a pinch. Listen to the long term residents and they are more likely to tell you the pro's and con's. I researched all over Spain for 2 years yet decided on Condado. Rent first is my advice. You may find Condado too far from what you need.

just a bit worrying to take the plunge and do it,especially for my teenage daughter as she has friends here and I worry about her being lonely

Hi, I just joined the forum tonight. I was gonna post but was looking around first. We are hoping to move here too. Renting for a year first with a view to buying. There is me, my hubby and our 12 year old daughter, oh and Fergus our puppy dog.

We were worried it might be a bit far out, but it just looks so lovely and I imagine it will have a good community feel.

Good luck with your move, message me for a chat anytime. xxx

Assuming you are British? If so you cannot do what you plan, unless you are prepared to be resident, with all the tax implications, have to take driving test in Spanish, have private health insurance and fit minimum income rules etc.

As a visitor you may only be in the Schengen area (basically the EU) for 90 days in 180, then must leave for 90. Or you can juggle with an online calculator to see if you can stay for say 1 month, leave for a month, return for a month and so on.

Brexit has changed a lot of things

woHello. We’re a retired couple Looking to relocate to Spain  and this location has caught our eye. Would love to know about living here from other residents i.e location to amenities, community charges, access to golf, is it a peaceful environment etc etc.,Would it be wise to rent first before committing ? Would appreciate your views on the ups and downs of residing here

Regards Helen
