I believe when you are looking for property you must first decide exactly what your requirements are.
Are you looking for to be by a beach, do you want to live in an area with many british people, do you want an urbanization, or would you be happy in a finca in the middle of nowhere?
These and many other questions should be considered before making a move.
Many years ago I used to do inspection trips for people coming to buy in Spain and Italy, most had stars in their eyes and their dreams of paradise. I would always show them the good and bad points believing that they were about to make a purchase that in many cases was there life savings and equity from their home country.
I think is great that you are choosing to live in this wonderful country but doing your homework can save a lot of heartache.
Take care.

PS not trying to teach you to suck eggs lol

Hi
I have an apartment on Corvera and its fantastic, Lovely urbanisation, yes quiet but not far from everything you need via car. The place is great value, property wise, I got a two bed two bath ground floor apartment with good sized private enclosed garden for £40000. Others paid £250000 for same apartments before the property crash. The value can only go up in time and corvera surrounding area will be regenerated now the new apart is open. I would have a look and think about long term investments. Just my personal opinion
