Are you using your physical address or a Correos buzon number? If the latter, some delivery companies that Amazon use, such as DHL and UPS do not deliver to the Correos, so they ask for an alternative address.

Another option could be that the address you are using is not the address to which your payment card is registered. If this is the case, you can make changes to your profile to rectify this

Hope this helps and good luck

Maybe best to pay for a post box such as best wishes then use there address for deliveries from Amazon etc  thats what I do and it works well and saves having to stay at home waiting for deliveries because not all carriers will deliver direct to your villa.cheers

My payment card is actually registered at a different address than the address I use for deliveries when in Spain. I do order from Amazon.es when in Spain. It could be error in their system that does not recognize your address so won't accept it.

Hi

We recently had the same issue with Amazon - when putting in the address Amazon seems to think it knows your address better than you and suggests what you have entered is incorrect and changes it to something else. You need to make sure that you just indicate that you want to use the address you entered. Although we are in Isla Plana it wanted to change the address to somewhere over in Murcia. We had the same issue when we wanted to get Amazon to deliver to an address in Totana - it suggested we didn't know where we wanted to send it and suggested somewhere totally random. In both cases delivery was made fine.

Hope this helps.

Yes, exactly my experience.

Check the options when entering your address.

I have mine as follows:

Street + house number, AP 'box number' Correos
Camposol C
El Saladilllo, Murcia 30875
Spain

Phone No: XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Amazon.es deliveries to my Correos box are absolutely fine.

We had this problem Amazon taking it upon themselves to give us an address at a place we had never heard of. We changed their address, as instructed, to our address but next time we ordered back again came their spurious address. In the end we gad to write to them and, thankfully, this appears to have done the trick. Fingers crossed.

If all else fails PJ I would have a chat on line with Amazon  themselves.  They have a very useful on line chat facility and I found them very helpful when a TV I ordered wasn't delivered.  If you explain your difficulty to them they will literally bend over backwards to help.  If anything they are annoyingly polite but thats a small price to pay for a better than expected customer service experience.

By the way, I don't use amazon.es, but there is no reason not to. - I have used .es once or twice but  I use amazon.co.uk  for language reasons and it works just fine.  Best of luck.  Ann
