Random question Can you run central heating from gas bottles?

Yes.

It is quite common. Propane gas is generally used.

Our system uses 12 bottles (each of 11kg), in 2 banks of 6; but some people use 8 or 10 bottles.

Yes you can.

Quite a few people I know on Camposol do it.

Thing is you need maybe 4 of 5 orange butane bottles so having somewhere to store them could be a problem.

I don't think even 4 or 5 bottles will last very long though.

Oil might be a better bet ??

In the coldest part of last winter (2020), 6 x 11kg propane bottles ran for 16 days.

So a single bottle ran for less than 3 days.

(Bungalow, 7 radiators).
