Hi all. My wife and I are looking at buying a property on the Camposol development and would like any information on the area and what you have experienced since living there. I would rather listen to advice direct from the horses mouth( so to speak!)

Thanks in anticipation

Best wishes

Steve Thomas

Tommo,        You're at the same stage as us near enough, although I've done most of our homework.

Use the search tool at the top of the page and enter 'Living in Camposol'.  Most of your questions will be answered their.   Good luck and happy hunting.

We bought on D a couple of years ago and moved here full time in July. It is lovely and quiet where we are. We are on a lovely road. Our neighbours house was only on the market for a day and was sold.

Most roads don't have street lights but we like it that way as its lovely star gazing up on the roof terrace. Some roads are quite bad. You need a car whatever sector you buy on although A and B are within walking distance to the various bars and restaurants.

If you are coming to live full time health insurance is quite expensive. Im sure it will be more difficult to obtain residency next year.

There is plenty to do here with lots of different groups to be involved in. Great community. Lots of lovely walks, short drive to numerous beaches and within an hours drive to can visit various other parts of Spain. Airport is only about 35 minute drive away. Climate is lovely.

The water pipes here are a bit of a nightmare. We have had 3 this year. If undetected for a while the water bill can be horrendous. Mozzies and flies are a pain.

It has its good and bad points.

I agree with a lot of what you said. However it is only little G.B. leaving the E.U. There is nothing to stop Dutch/French/German etc etc. Expats from buying property on Camposol and it too becoming a multinational urbanisation. My Swedish neighbour and I look forward to it.

Camposol seems to be fast becoming a multinational urbanisation. Here on D16 we have French, Dutch, Belgian, Norwegian, Spanish and Scottish neighbours all within one street. All very pleasant people to have around.

What a strange opinion of Camposol from an individual who doesn't live here and obviously is one of the "my mate said brigade" my neighbours are Belgium, French, Spanish , Scottish and Southern Ireland plus another Mancunian damm were swamped with Brits.

Something else to consider when looking Camposol is an all year round community not just June to August which a lot of smaller places are.

Happy hunting

I can honestly say that I am very happy we bought on Camposol.  We are not stuck here wishing we were somewhere else...we love our home and our community. Nowhere is perfect and there are problems everywhere but I'm glad we are here...there are far worse places to be .
