We arrived on Saturday night and have been woken every night at about 12 o clock. It appears people who work at the Indian restaurant are coming home and have no consideration for other people on the road.

We are thinking of selling our holiday home now because it is so bad. We came here for a rest

Have you been and spoken to them? Politely of course, they may be used to there being no one about and not aware of how noise travels and that they are disturbing you. A polite, "would you kind keeping the noise down?" might just do the trick. If this doesn't work, and they are your neighbours and you live on a community, you can speak to the president / administrator and ask them to have a word. Also there are rules in spain about noise levels after midnight, depending where you live. If the above 2 suggestion don't work you can call the police but its pot luck as to if they will do anything. Noise complaints are one of the most common reports to the police all over spain....

Remember that spain is a noisy country, especially in summer as everyone is outside later due to the heat. Walls in houses are generally paper thin so sometimes you just have to get used to it and have a nap during the day if you can.

We are in bed at 12 o’clock at night. These people are walking up the road and shouting. If they were wearing masks as they should be we wouldn’t hear them outside our window. It went on until 1.30 in the morning this morning!

Pop along to the restaurant and ask to have a word with the boss. They may work in Siesta as that just opened. He would know where they are renting and would like his staff to respect the neighbours. Good luck.

Noisy neighbours at all hours are the most common complaints made on Camposol A I find. -  I am surrounded by them ! People with constantly barking dogs are my pet hate. -  People who shout and bawl at each other as part of normal (for them) conversation. Alcoholics who party day and night (loud music at 3.0.am). People who run businesses from home  starting up at 6.0am loading heavyweight supplies into vans disturbing other neighbours and then entertaining clients every evening. Late night restaurant/bar workers returning home in the small hours and behaving as though it's daytime, and  then drunken holidaymakers puking excess drink everywhere, - it seems never ending at times. But if you invest in some ear`plugs, draw down your blinds, turn on ceiling fans or AC you can shut them all out and rest easy.

Agreed ! - but trying to get a good price for property here now is futile excercise.
