Duty free France to UK

Does anyone know if we can BOTH each take the full duty free allowance, in the same car, or is that considered as "combining allowances"

Each person has an allowance so 2 person's allowance allowed. What you can't do is 1 person take 2 allowances for themselves cos other person doesn't want theirs.
