Spanish Will

You don't need to go to an abogado to do you Will. You can get them done directly at the Notary's office, which is where an abogado would take you anyway. To ensure that your wishes are carried out correctly, if you don't speak enough Spanish to convey this information to the Notary, take someone with you who does speak Spanish. It's necessary to state that you would like your Will to be executed under the law of the country from where you come, if that it was your wish (rather than under Spanish law). Remember that there is no "UK law". It's is either the laws of England and Wales or the laws of Scotland etc. We paid about 60€ to do our Wills but that was several years ago, so it's probably more now. Some Notaries speak English.

Hi we used PALS Solictors in Mazzaron charge was €190 each. We were advised if we used a Notary in the UK this would not register them in Spain, therefore might as well do English Will in UK.We Completed forms which we were sent by Email then when we knew we were due to go to Spain arranged to go to Solictor who then took us to a Notary.They then get registered in a central register in Madrid so should anything happen to you they can be accessed by the necessary parties.

I made a will last month and it cost me 90 € and 59 € for the notary charge  This was for a single will I don’t know if it is twice that for separate husband and wife wills
