Hi! I am a 50 year old Norwegian lady considering buying a newer apartment in Lo Pagan, San Pedro del Pinatar, or the surrounding area! Want to be a place that is quiet but not completely dead in winter. Prefer areas that are more Spanish than pure tourist areas. Since I'm going to be there a bit alone outside of my family's vacation time, I want a place that feels safe, in addition to being a place where it is easy to be a bit active with cycling, running, hiking etc. Really appreciate all the tips on places I should consider, and feedback on how Lo Pagan / San Pedro Del Pinatar is winter time! Best regards Sissel

Very quiet out of the summer season as many Spanish have holiday homes there that are closed up for the winter months. If you move around the Mar Menor to the Los Narejos, Los Alcazares area its still open in the winter and there are many social groups you can join in to meet others...

san pedro/ lo pagan are ideal for cycling and walking. It is quiet here in the winter but some bars and restaurants on the seafront stay open and the town shops cafes etc stay open. There is a group called Adapt that meet and take part in various activities and raise money for local causes. We love it here as it is more spanish.

I agree. There are plenty of bars and restaurants that stay open in the winter. It's a very Spanish area and we love it. Walking and cycling are great to do here and we have the added advantage of being close to the Mediterranean as well as the Mar Menor.
