Hello My name is Dan and Myself and my family (Fiance, 4 year old girl and 5 month old boy) are looking at selling up and moving to Mezzaron or surrounding area.

We would love to know if this area is suitable for a young family, id there lots of groups for children to partake, the schools good, and is crime low here.

I work from home and would be doing the same if move to Spain, does anyone know about taxes etc. would i need to be paid in to my Spanish account or UK one?

Alot of information on here just like to speak to someone rather than try and take it all in

I look forward to hearing from you

I would say this is predominantly a retirement area, but there are probably some young English families within the Port area, although I don't know of any.

Regarding taxes etc, I would advise talking to a Fiscal expert rather than seeking info on a forum, it's a bit like chatting in the pub....full of 'experts'! Your finances would not be the same a retired person, just do a google search and you will find lots of professionals. Important decisions such as the one you're about to make should be based on fact.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

If you are looking at a move to Spian for work and so on  ..I would strongly advise you to learn to speak the language before you do so taking a holiday to Spain is nothing like living hear

 ... good luck anyway.
