The purchase of our holiday home in El Carmoli completes in 10 days so we are busy with all the last minute arrangements.

One thing I am keen to arrange ASAP is internet access as both my wife and I depend heavily on good internet access, however, our property doesn't have a land line connection so I am looking at alternatives.

A company called Telitec can install a wireless system that uses a dish on the roof and as we are on a hill have direct line of site to the transmitter near Los Alcazares, however, Telitec gets mixed reviews so does anyone else have experience of this type of internet or Telitec as a provider?

Any advice or other suggestions for getting internet access would be appreciated before I commit myself to the 150e installation fee that Telitec is asking for.

Don't know what mobile reception is like there but what about MiFi with a data sim card? Can take you broadband wherever you go then!

The system should work well - talk to teleast next to the 525, as we got installation for 50 Euros and get tv (using similar dish) and 6MB internet for 30 € a month. No complaints after nearly one year.

Thanks for the replies Beanie and Peter, stopping a few nights at the 525 before picking up keys so will pop into Teleast.

Cheers,

Andy

We've used Telitec's 4G mifi internet for the last 15 months at our holiday home in Los Gallardos on the Costa Almeria which also doens't have a landline and I don't want the hassle of installing one. It works fine, can stream films and BBC iPlayer, allows me to connect to my office in the UK and work with no problem and as it's a mifi box it means we can take the wifi with us when we go out.

Rob, would you mind saying how much you pay and what your data allowance is?

Thanks
