Good Morning,

We are currently living in UK and looking to buy a property in the next couple of months with a view to retiring to El Valle in the next couple of years. We have visited the area a few times now and stayed in the villas and viewed villas and we always come back to this area. Any advice would be appreciated. We are looking for a Villa ideally not backing onto another property but would still consider. The pros and pitfulls of the area would be appreciated. Are some Roads better than others, are the amenties open all year round,Taxis and buses available?

We have already opened bank accounts and done power of attorney and of course have our NIe numbers.

Really grateful for any advice Karen

Hi we have lived on El Valle for almost two years, my husband is a golfer we are both retired . But thank goodness we didn’t buy on here, we feel that we need more to keep us occupied , you have to use your car for everything. There is entertainment on site during the summer months, it gets very busy with lots of children and can get very noisy. All noise echoes , through to other properties. We are also fed up with being kept awake until the early hours in the morning by noisy neighbors , who yes might be on holuday, but they do not take into account those who live permanently on site. We are looking to move on somewhere nearer to the sea, shops and restaurants, so that we do not have to keep driving everywhere. There is a bus from mosa that goes to Murcia, but that as far as I am aware is the only one. If you do not drive you are stuck. Hope this helps .

What I forgot to say was, maybe you should do what we  have done and long term rent to see if it is what you are looking for, everyone is different. Don't get me wrong we live the villa is very spacious and modern, but it keeps you busy with the cleaning,we are overlooking a parcel if waste ground with the perimeter wall surrounding us, very nice as we are not overlooked, but the dust we get in a daily basis is not good,I keep telling my husband that I did not retire out here to be doing cleaning every day,but as I say long term rental is a good idea.
