We in the last stage of buying a house and wii be getting our NIE, opening a bank account and checking the title deeds in 2 weeks.

With the ambiguous decisions going on on Brexit will me buying a house entitle me to live in spain indefinitely - if we want to.

Have access to health care (We have  EHIC card and are over 60yrs)

What status do we need to acquire ?

We are British and have our home in Cambridge, which we will be keeping.

We intend to give the house on rent about 2 to 3 months in a year.

Any advise/suggestions very welcome.

Sandra & James

no one knows for sure,  but  u will still be a uk resident . not an ex pat ,but at the moment to ensure spanish status i think u need to be  over before march .but no deal has been made to this effect . but its planned ,everyone is in limbo,

yr ehic  card be valid till march as it stands , normally after a year,  staying , u can get residency and get on spanish system

60e mnth i believe ,

maybe others can give some insight,  but if the tories cant agree amongst selves  then what chance have we  got knowing outcome

but one thing in your favour, the spanish need our business
