Hi , recently been up and down the coast ( Cabo Roig to Mazarron) looking at areas to potentially retire in a few years ! We would love to eventually buy a house but want to stay close to bars and restaurants

Any advice where we should start looking ? What are the good and bad things about living in Fortuna ?

Many thanks

Evening Lee,

We brought in Fortuna Nov 2018. Currently using it as a holiday home, but hoping to move out permanently in next years years. We are not on the urbanisation, but have found everyone helpful. Obviously language is a barrier if you do not speak Spanish, but we have got by okay without it. We choose Fortuna because of location, 20 minutes in to Murcia, 50 minutes to coasts South or East. Alot quieter than coastal resorts, or large organisations. Depends on what you are after? Get more for your money here, but within easy reach everything.

Regards

Mick

It depends on what you want, we didn't want an urbanisation. Theres only one in Fortuna anyway. We are 1.5km from main town which suits us. I suppose your budget and property available will also help that decision. The Roman baths are pretty much opposite the urbanisation.

We live on Las Kalendas Fortuna.  It's a beautiful urbanisation.  We have two Spanish teachers teaching Spanish free of cost two days a week. All the restaurants and bars that you'll need. Every facilities that you'll  need n Murcia city is just 20 minutes drive a way.

Fortuna Town getting busier n buster.

Hope this help
