We have a villa that backs onto the Camping de Castillejo which is just outside of the town of Fotuna, we have a very nice bar, Barclays, which has entertainment 2-3 times a month and Bingo/Play your cards right every Monday from 4pm, good place to meet people and make friends - people come from all over.

Enjoy your time here and stay safe.

That sounds good Sue.... I've just managed to locate it I think, North of Fortuna? Google says there's a 'Castle bar' there so perhaps I've got it wrong though 😂

That's the place . Run by a Scottish couple, Kenny and Yvonne. Food is good and plenty of outside seating when the weather is hot in the summer.

We'll do that!  We're actually the other side of Fortuna (Los Periquitos)... but it's just 10/15 minutes drive :)

If you are down that way, give the Los Perequitos hotel restaurant a go. really good food of the Spanish variety if, perhaps, a little pricy. If going on a Sunday, it's best to book as that's the day the Spanish like to go.

Yes this hotel is within walking distance of our new home!  We tried the bar while waiting to meet with the estate agent last year.... it would be rude not to wouldn't it?!

We've not yet eaten there, but we were impressed with both the cleanliness and the staff.... and the beer was ok too!

Great Food ! Honestly . Over our end of Fortuna its our go to you can either eat in the bar side or the restaurant side.. There's a few really good places in town . One of our favorites is El Molinico which is on the other side of Fortuna heading out. Honestly worth the drive. Don't book to early it only really gets going around 10pm as lots of locals eat there.

Enjoy!

Thank you for that 👍

Do you have any experience of The Red Lion (formerly Bob's Bar), is it a name change or under new ownership?

Hopefully meet up before we return... tho t weather isn't doing anyone any favours!

We have been to the Red Lion. It was very friendly but it felt like being in the Queen Vic in Eastenders. I wouldn't rule it out tho.
