Can anyone recommend: Gardener / tree feller.

Hi.  I have tree surgery experience and equipment. 

However I do live 100 km away 

So would be €120 for 8 hours work (due to fuel and travel time)

Should you not find anyone closer......

I love full time in Spain so would be available when convenient.

The charge sounds ok to us. We will have garden debris to be taken clear away as well,, how big is your van? We intend to do a lot of clearing of bushes and planting. We have started and to now have been cutting back and taking out a few small bushes which we have cut up and put in black garden bags and disposed of, but now we will move onto the bigger stuff and would rather it just be taken away although we will cut it into reasonable to manage sizes. Do you have hedge trimmers because we also need to trim back a 20mt long fir hedge down one side of the garden.

Hi Robert. 

I use an old car with seats down to remove waste. Or there is a local spanish guy (hard working) who I employ for bigger jobs with a van.  

Should a van be essential.... and you wanted more labour. His day rate is €60 and I would pay his fuel. 

This would be 2 strong men plus van working 8 Hours with chainsaws 

Hedge trimmers ladders etc... for €180 a day. 

Or I would be happy to make multiple tip runs in car solo...

Hi Jon,

We wouldn't need another person as the two of us can do any labouring, we just need the chain saw and someone who knows how to take down a tree which is amongst other plants etc. and cut it up into usable sizes. And to get rid of a load of garden "rubbish" . I think we will buy a hedge trimmer as we will need one every year to trim back loads of things.

I have a good chainsaw. 

We can log up the entire tree. And I can do multiple tips runs. 

If all the matter is bio degradable most farmers and land owners are happy to take it for mulching.
