Hi everyone. What a struggle its been but we have booked to come to Spain on 7 September. Our villa was broken into in February. We are coming out now to ramp up our security and wondered if anyone can recommend a good company. This is a long shot but as the patio door is the weakest spot I would like some sort of metal shutter for that. We had all the grills but these were ripped right off the walls. I know people say if they to get in they will. I would sleep easier in the villa if it felt safer. It's really taken the shine of it and might just sell up. Thanks in advance. Linda

Hi Minnie,

Try Securitas Direct - also called My Verisure - I have a Villa in Fortuna and had one fitted about 4 years ago. Very easy to operate and no need to remember yet another code as it is all sorted with a special fob.

They also have large signs to put off wouldbe intruders, internal cameras and an emergency panic type button as well. The operators who call will speak English if your Spanish is anything like mine.

I'm back at the end of September - damn Brexit! Ha ha - have a good flight.

Kind regards

Steve
