Moving near to Fuente Alamo

You can only get free health care here if you have a work contract or have an English state pension(need S1 form from Newcastle). Otherwise it is a private HC policy-about 750 E per year.You just register with a dentist -private only. There is an English speaking one in Puerto de Mazarron who is French! (Dr Olivier I think). Find an English speaking Gestor or at least a translator for Padron. Fuente Alamo is a mainly Spanish town. The Gestor should also make an appointment for Residencia for you. We tried to register in FA health centre as English speaking doctor but  his list was full (about 2 months ago) You may end up at Cuesta Blanca instead. May I suggest you contact CAB Spain -they have up to date CORRECT information-they usually ask for 5e donation-worth it. I hope this helps-it is all a bit(!) confusing at first. Good luck Nick.

As regards padron, you will need the following:

Form from your Spanish Bank

NIE number

Proof of address

Utility bill from the address 

It’s really easy once you have got these, took me literally 2 minutes at the Town hall in Fuente Alamo, it only costs a couple of euros, make sure you ask for a copy of the padron cert

I live just down the road from Campello de Ariba, moved in 2 years ago. I used Costa ?Cálida Information Service on Sectir .A at Camposol for all my applications. They have all the forms, will complete them for you and photocopy all relevant documents. They also gave me instructions on where the various places were eg Padron = TownHall at Fuente Alamo, Residencia = Police Statio, Cartagena, Health Card = TotanaThe staff at Costa Cálida were most helpful and, because of their experience, the processes proved straight forward and the cost wasn’t exhorbitant.
