Hi ,  I’m looking at transferring money from the Uk into a Spanish bank account.  Can you recommend who to chose for this.  I’m transferring a lump sum and then on regular monthly basis. Can this be done for free ?   Thanks in advance

I tend to use Wise for all my banking transfers with no issues. Good exchange rates and v low fees. UK Bank to Wise, convert to euro, and then transfer to my BankInter. Generally the whole process costs me around 0.5% of total moved.

Thanks for the quick reply… I just looked at Wise and you were spot on as it worked out at  0.4%.. many thanks 🙏

Wise.com is definitely the one to use.

Good exchange rate, low fees & your money moves in seconds.

I use Wise. Just one word of caution. Wise are not covered by the FSCS which means that if you transfer a very large amount of money, you could lose it. If I were you I would do it in tranches rather than in one large lump sum. Hope this helps.

Thanks I’ll look into that!  A lot people have recommended Wise but their feedback is not great!  Still unsure where to go from here.

Hi,

I can highly recommend Global Currencies... I was recommended them when buying my property in San Pedro del pinatar. I just phone my dedicated account manager in the UK, he tells me the rate, which has always been higher than anywhere else, I put the amount needed in GBP to their account & he transfers the money to my Sabadell Bank account, it's always been in within 1-2 days. When I bought my property they locked the rate in so if the rate fell I didn't lose out, never had a problem with them at all, I've now used them about 6 times & will continue to do so.

Thanks so much ,  I’ll take a look.  It’s Global Currency I believe.  They do have the best feedback I have seen although only 71 reviews on Trust Pilot.  Many thanks again 👍

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

I got that information from Trust Pilot reviews…. Take a look!!!  I guess you are talking about Wise.
