We have recently bought a bank repossession property at Hacienda and have found we have a propane boiler that will need converting to gas. It is a Fondital Minorca boiler - make we think is a KC. Does anyone know of any plumber in the area that is familiar with this type of boiler and whether it can be converted.?

Hi, what gas are you thinking of converting this to, do you have natural gas installed in your home?
Many years ago I installed a propane boiler for my central heating and found this very efficient, had two bottles connected that changed when one was empty, then just had this replaced by the gas man.
We recently had natural gas installed here in La Ribera and as water heater and full gas oven is used all the time thought we would change from butano, installation was free but even though I had the new jets for the cooker they could not get it right.
To cut a long story short the monthly cost was about 50 euro for natural gas as against roughly 13 euro for butano lasting approx 54 days on average.
Needless to say changed back to butano.

Hi we also bought repossession on Hacienda about 3 years ago we didnt have to buy a New Boiler.Some will say you have to replace the boiler we had a Spanish Guy who came out and changed the Jets??.Might have cost around €300.I will be back over the Apartment on Saturday and the number is in Apartment I can send you number.We were advised when we need any work to be done always try and Get Spanish Company as they don't Charge over the Top.
