Hi well my family and will be coming to live in Isla Plana in 2 months and I cant wait can anyone advise me on the general cost of living in a 4 bed house ie council tax ect

And would it be a good area for my older boys 22 and 26 or not busy enough what's the night life like, age group of the village and will there be young ladies for them to meet ?  ( I am afraid of letting go a bit )

I don't really want them to be to far away from me they were thinking of getting an apartment close by

can anyone give me any advice as my boys think I'm old and moving to a retirement village I think.

Hi we have a holiday home in Isla Plana and it is busy in July and August like most Murcia coastal areas. Isla plana is very quiet the rest of the year.  Cartagena is the big town wiith a university that attracts the younger generation. We love Isla Plana and the surounding areas.

It is very much a beach resort, with a year round social club and live music in the summer. Community tax varies, it depends on your community and property size. We pay about a 10th of what we pay in the UK.

Hi

We had a Drink with Doug and his Partner at the soical and it was very nice.

We have had a holiday home in Isla Plana for the past 3 years and have been coming here for 14 years and we absoultely love it. It depends what you like doing, we go for long walks, read, snokel, ride our bikes, we are currently getting a licence for our dingy and of course eat and drink.

Doug is right It is a like a retirement village,   But there are many places on the Spanish coastline that are like this in the winter.

Puerto  Mazarron  is busier but it is a bigger Resort.  Its mainly due to the fact that most of the  houses are holiday homes as opposed to package tour hotel holdays

In July and August it is very busy. Its a typical spanish small holiday resort with everything you need. We have witnessed that the Spanish go to the beach in the morning, have a long lunch and siesta from 1-5pm. They are then back on the beach until 8pm and then head back for Dinner. (July and August) After dinner they go for walk  and eat  Ice cream at midnight.

If you want any info on the area please i am happy to help. .

Well at least he's not there by himself he sounded lonely, its not the sort of place to move to alone I don't think.

I've visited now in the winter and yes it is quiet but we are still quite happy with our choice if we wanted it busier we would have gone to Javea or somewhere like that.

It feel's safe and that's important and we want to mix with local people I am looking forward to it.

Hello ,

If anyone is around until end of January in the Puerto mazzaron/isla plana area  I would love to meet new people and to know my neighbors as well.

I live in mojon hills.
