Correos says that the normal postal services in all of these areas will be discontinued, and the only items delivered will be certified mail and urgent letters and parcels, while “ordinary” post will be kept for collection at the local post office.

Homeowners can also choose to collect their own post and schedule weekly visits to the local post office in order to collect any mail (this may be in Cartagena or other towns: in Isla Plana and La Azohía, for example, mail will be kept at the office in Puerto de Mazarrón.
