Just Bought a Property in Mojon Hills

Hi all,

I'm Tony and my Carolyn have just completed the purchase of a property in Mojon Hills and we'd like to meet fellow Brits who have made the move to Isla Plana. Our UK property is on the market and once its sold we will come to live in Isla Plana permanently. We are coming over on 22 June for 2 weeks with some of our furniture arriving on 23 June with any luck!!

We'd like to hook up with what we hope will be new friends who can give us advice on the do's and dont's of living in Spain. We have no Spanish but are aware that the Community Centre (which we have visited often) do a Spain meets Britain on a Tuesday evening which we intend to go to - does anyone else go to this?

Basically we want to sit and chat amd get as much useful info as we can. With the Euros on when we are there it would be great to hook up with fellow football fand to watch the games. We are sociable people who laugh a lot and enjoy a beer/wine/food in good company!!

Hi

I ralise you purchased your property last year, and i guess by now you have found out most of the do's and dont's. We own a holidy home property in Isla Plana and would be happy to meet up for drinks at the social when you we are there.

We are living Isla Plana in the mojon Hills,we have been renting a nice property with a view to buyingin the future,but just waiting to see what happens with brexit.I am Barry and my wife is tricia.We have been here nearly one year and absolutely love it.We had the winter and Christmas here too,and it was fun,six of us that didn't know each other that well all hooked up for xmas dinner in the local restaurant la charra,and a good time we all had no stress.We have been to the community centre many times,and things were organised sometimes like Flamenco evening with dinner 15 euros very enjoyable.We are both sociable and I and the wife like football too.If you would like to meet up sometime for drinks at community centre just reply on the forum and maybe we could exchange numbers and get together when you are here.Which part of the UK are you from, we are from Bristol but our home is in Weston-Super-Mare.Kind Regards Barry and Tricia.Incidentally,it was 20 degrees on Xmas Day,and full sunshine..

Hi both, and thanks for the reply. Talk about a small world - we lived in WsM for 10 years before moving here 8 weeks ago! We are also in mojon hills! We will be in the social centre tomorrow about 4pm if you are about? Cheers, tony and cal

HI guys, well be there and I'll have a green t shirt on with a motor bike motif and khaki shorts. Cal will be wearing an orange dress ! There's a test! 😆😆

We will bethere in July, so hopefully we can meet at the social too. We will post on the forum to see if you are available. We have a place near La Chara.

We will also be there in September, as our nephew is having his wedding at Isla Plana church and reception drinks at the social!
