Before Easter I was stopped by police while on my way to shop in the port & told to turn back and shop at our local Spar.

I have not ventured to the port since as I am concerned that having been stopped and details taken I might be fined if stopped again.

Though the Spar has most things it is difficult shopping there. There are very few parking spaces and once in the shop difficult to keep the recommended social distance. I felt much safer shopping in Mercadona. Does anyone know if it is now legally possible to go from LaAzohia to the port for shopping. Most of my neighbours are going and noone else has been stopped.

Would be grateful for information.

Thank you

It's still a big NO to go beyond your nearest shops without a valid reason. Its about containment not convenience or choice I'm afraid.  Staying local keeps the risk of spreading the virus from one place to another, your area may be clear but 6km down the road might not be.

Two days ago in the morning police turned back my neighbour in Isla Plana. He was heading to the Port. They told him to shop in Isla Plana.

While police officer deciding where you shopping now, they're not controlling small shops where people definitely breaking 2m rules as shops is not suitable for it but what can you do? Just bad luck you been stopped.

Thank you for your reply. Yes bad luck to be stopped. But agree small shops not able to keep 2 metre distancing which makes me nervous.
