Depends on where it originates from, France, Belgium & Germany are the usual sources.

Where are you thinking of buying one from.

Well if it is from the UK it is unlikely to be left hand drive as all UK cars are right hand drive. Therefore you will have to change your headlights unless it is a fairly recent top of the range model with re alignable headlights. That will cost you in the region of €500 depending on the make and model. Depending on the year of the car and its value it could cost you upto another €1000. Do not bring any vehicle that has a towbar or bull bars on it as they will be classed as illegal and you will have to pay for their removal and a re test.

A lot depends on the make, model, year and value but I hope this helps. There are a lot of companies offering to do this for you so contact your local one and get a quote.

Thank you,

there are several left hand drive cars in the UK which normally sell for less than right hand drive cars and are a awful lot cheaper than

Spanish registered cars. Well, that what it looks like to me !

I have checked other websites and it seems I can keep a British registered car in Spain as long as I not living there as a full time resident . I will only use it for about 10 weeks per year.

There are a number of left hand drive car spanish registered specialists in the UK and their prices are much higher than for a UK registered car.

You can bring a UK registered car here if you are not resident but you will have to take it back to UK every year for an MOT and pay UK road tax. It would be cheaper to come here and buy a cheap spanish vehicle.

If you want to do that look at the prices at DoYouSpain or Gold Car. Depending on how often you will come over it could work out cheaper to take out an annual insurance for collision waiver.

Does anyone know any driving instructor to give me a few lesson on an automatic left hand drive car?
