Has anyone had experience of the Uk rule on  being able to leave the country only so long as the trip is 'essential'?

I'm booked to come over in late June. There is a lack of clarity and firm guidance on what is permissible under the definition of 'essential' eg whether my annual discussion with my solicitor to discuss issues relating to general taxation and property matters meet the criteria. As far as I can see there is no UK contact available to provide advice and clarification. The last thing I want to do is get to the airport and be turned back by some over officious jobsworth.

You can travel. It is Government advice not law. If Spain is still on the Amber list you will need to follow the rules re tests etc. No one will turn you away at the Airport

Hope this helps
