Hi Does anyone know where the buses run to from the top end of the strip in la manga Veneziola? Also is there an expat community for meet ups in the area? And lastly is anyone on here as they’re isn’t a lot of activity on it  I noticed .  My husband and I are new to the area. And would be great to have some tips, Thank you 😃

Hi, we’re on here. Just changed forums from the Costa Blanca forum as we’ve just moved to Lo Pagan from Albatera- inland Alicante. I’m not much help with your bus query though. All I do know about buses in that area (as with the rest of Spain) is that you need to know the bus company’s name to find out their route. It took some considerable time and patience to get a route and time table for buses in and around Lo Pagan. Much simpler in the UK, you google where you want to go and it tells you which bus companies run there - simple. As soon as I can find the timetable I printed out i’ll Get back to you with the bus company, it might pick up at the top of La Manga you never know.

We’ve not heard much English being spoken there as yet, but Albatera was the same so we’re used to that.  According to our Estate Agent there’s a surge of Brits buying in San Javier so maybe we’ll get more people on the forum soon.

Ann.

Since I last messaged you my husband tells me that there’s a social club at the “pensionister” in San Pedro, run by an expat committee with something happening most days. Art classes, bridge evenings etc and they have a language exchange morning where the Spanish who want to learn English and the English learn Spanish, meet for coffee and attempt to converse and learn from each other. Might be worth a go.

It’s LAT buses that cover our region. I’ve only got a timetable for bus number 70 which runs from Campoamor, through torre de la horadada, San Pedro, Lo Pagan, Santiago, San Javier and on to Murcia bus station. So don’t think it touches La Manga but google LAT and see how you get on. It’s in Spanish though.

Well the buses on the ‘main’ Costa Calida are run from Alicante to Cartagena by Globaliaautocares.  The bus timetable seems to change every six months or so from what I can make out.

I think I saw when the new Corvera Airport opens next year there may have been a suggestion of a bus route going down to La Manga area.

There is a ferry daily (a few journeys) from Santiago de la Ribera over to La Manga Tomas Mastero Port (which is the top area of La Manga).

The Club is called ADAPT and it’s very close to the Castelar College.

Good Luck.
