Hi, looking at buying a holiday home in la parroquia and wondering what the village is like. Planning on visiting the area, would like a few bars, restaurants and some things for the kids to do ie. parks etc.

Hi hope you are well the village is very quite there is one bar open in the day and a restaurant open at weekends there is also a supermarket chemist and bakery. There is a communal swimming pool for the children i think there is one other English couple live there. You would need to speak some Spanish nobody speaks English. The village is surrounded by beautiful country side and Lorca is only 20 minuets away the village is virtually crime free the kids play out safely. But it is a working village not a tourist place if you like a quite safe country place to live it is fine. Also 40 minutes from the coast hope this information is helpful anymore questions let me know thanks Alan and Jo .
