Air conditioning

Hi. I was at my apartment last week and kept getting an error on my air con and it would stop working, if i turned it off and back on it would work for ten minutes or so then the error would come back, does anyone know anything about air con systems and could you help me out. 

I am back in the uk now but if someone can fix it then I would happily meet the next time I am over as I a man at a loss, obviously paying for your service too
