I am assuming that you are referring to La Tercia golf rather than in the village of La Tercia? People who live or own on La Tercia will advise you to buy. People who don't, would probably advise you not to. From my experience the properties on La Tercia golf are really cheap and there is usually a good reason for that. One problem can be that community fees are paid by all the owners or renters and on a site with security can be very expensive. My advice would be to check how much the community fees are, and how many of the properties are vacant.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Stevie, yes La Tercia golf. They are cheaper than others on other courses but I was putting that down to all the amenities and course being closed. Yes the fees will help towards yes or no but again I’ve read they are cheap and I’ve read they are expensive…… I am hoping to go out there very soon to view some properties which I am sure will make my mind up. The golf properties do look like they have been built well , clean and kitted out well. Time will tell! Thanks again for your input 👍

Its really a personal choice and what you like. I've just returned from viewing and staying on a similar golf course. The units are very beautiful, modern and very affordable. The community fees were explained to me. According to who has paid and who has not will determine what you pay for the year. So, the fees could be 80 per month one year or 100 the next. Eventually the non payers must pay when they sell, and the fees then fluctuate favourably for the next year.
On the golf course we stayed in, there was security and beautiful manicured gardens, also included was internet ant tv channels.
For me I more or less ruled it out based on the fluctuating community fees, the pools are only warm in July /August so unusable the rest of the year, you need a car all of the time, Independent internet charges are app. 30 per month and 10 when not there as you can have it switched off.
Also, where I stayed was pretty deserted in October. We spent some of the celebrated Spain Day there last Wednesday and no sign of any celebrations. We later moved that day to Los Alkazares and it was fantastic, so much going on and like a different world.
I like activity, but I know people may like peace and quiet...so really its whats important to you and what you like but I hope this helps

Thanks, which course did you stay on first ? With so many courses I guess it’s a personal choice… I was told community fees would be 140 a month on most if not all courses…. I suppose we will know when we see a property we like…. Thanks again

I stayed on Condado de Alhama. Its a really beautiful place with 2 bed units starting at €65k and community fees anywhere between €85 to €120. Some areas were €140.
Although they weren't all open there was plenty of restaurants/bars in the square and am told its busy in the summer. You do need a car to get around as far from everything.
There is also a planned closing of the golf course if they can't get a buyer.
After three days we moved to the town of Los Alkazares and although its a working and holiday town and not manicured like the golf courses, had a lot more happening.
I plan to go back there and see it again at a different time of the year, so hopefully it will still appeal.
Thanks Jackie it’s much appreciated! We will take a look and go from there. 👍
