Hi, if you keep over a certain amount in the account there are no fees. It appears in your App as ' contribution to the company capital'. The money is yours and visible. I deposited 1037  euro, Hope that helps

I have just scrutinised my account in the app and nowhere does it quote "contribution to company capital". I think that change happened well after we opened ours.

Well if Cajamar start applying account fees to my Wefferent account I will just close it.

Wise does everything I need with no charges at all.

Hi, it will only appear when you have made the contribution and hence the fees will stop. Please also be aware it takes time to appear once you have made the necessary payment. I have a joint account with my wife so not sure if I paid extra or the charges are different to evade the fees. If you are not in Spain all the time we were provided a cashier point of contact, email and phone, English is perfect. They always reply in 48hrs by email. If you have the same they will help with your options? Good luck

My understanding of the message from Cajamar regarding the 30 euros per quarter is that if you ask the bank to do any payments for you you will be charged.  Provided your account is run as an online account only with direct debits going through/you making your own payments etc you will not be charged.  We are non-residents and opened our account in the Sucina branch of Cajamar.  That was three years ago and we have never had any problems.  There is a lovely lady called Andreea there who speaks brilliant English. I've noticed that if you take cash out of the machine with an English card you pay a ridiculous amount of charges now so try to stick to using the Cajamar card as a minimal fee there.  All our friends seem to have charges from their accounts but to date we haven't ever had that with Cajamar.

We too haven't paid a cent in fees since opening in 2019 and we do everything online ourselves. I haven't received any message yet, but if you are right, I won't be alarmed.

Hi all today I managed to open an wefferent account with cajamar and was about to order the pack online which would include a debit card, but reading the conditions it states the will be a Trimestral charge of €30 and then other charges for using the card with or without Servired. The whole point of me opening this account was to avoid charges, is it best not to order the pack online?

Hi, depending on your timing and requirements I found it much easier opening in branch. They spoke perfect English and answer all your questions. Try and book an appointment in advance if you are only visiting for a short period.

Yes I opened in the branch today, but I was trying to order the card, I have just phoned them and they have told me that there are charges, but only when I make a transaction inside a branch.
