Hi, we are thinking of buying a small two bed apartment on the La Torre Golf Resort, can anybody advise good recommendation lawyers for the purchase, you always get the feeling that the agents what you to use their recommendations to get a golden handshake!
also any advice and what to look out for when buying in Spain. Any tips that you wish someone had shared.

be very grateful

thanks

We bought in La Torre 2 years ago and used one of the solicitors on site - Cum Laude.

Excellent service from start to finish. We gave them power of attorney and they applied for our NIE’s, opened our bank accounts and switched over all the amenities suppliers.
Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Good luck and welcome to La Torre (once we can get back over there 😀)

Thanks so much, we are today paying our deposit for our little holiday home in the sun, so excited, will see you outthere hopefully soon.

Do you know if there is some form of other community talk or chat as this one seems very quiet.

Do you know if you allowed to jog around the golf courses, on the paths i can see on google maps, also how long does it take for the purchase roughly, they said 12 weeks which seems very long.

Thanks Shaun

Hi Shaun

Welcome to La Torre. There is a FB page for La Torre, which will provide lots of info.

As for the cart paths around the golf course - these are private property as they are part of the golf course owned by GNK and are not meant to be used by joggers, cyclists, dog walkers, etc.
Could be dangerous as there is potential for getting hits by errant golf shots!  (unfortunately they are constantly used as signage is not great, so lots of people don't actually know they shouldn't be on them)

All the best.

Hi, Gem, I never realised those paths were just for golfers, that is good to know before buying. Where do you walk or jog at la Torre then?

Hi Denise

Not much of a jogger myself, but do cycle round the resort. (it's really pretty quiet traffic wise, so no issues with walking/jogging/cycling) I've seen lots of people jogging/walking round the resort, so plenty of routes as it's a big place.

Although not hugely busy, the paths around the course are potentially dangerous if there are golfers playing, hence the reason that the Administrators are constantly advising not to use them. As I mentioned previously, that tends to be largely ignored, but it'll just take one person to get seriously injured.....!

All the best
