Search with www.viamichelin.com...

If you drive via Rouen (avoiding Paris) >ca. 4 hrs from the tunnel< – Bordeaux ( 6h drive)– Zaragossa >ca. 6 hrs to Los Alcazares< you find IBIS Hotels along the route. Very good breakfast and dog friendly.

We travelled down from Scotland and through the Eurotunnel on Day 1, which meant we had an early start on Day 2 from just outside Calais. Depending on where you live in the UK, I would recommend this, otherwise you feel like your wasting a lot of time at the start or part way through the day getting the tunnel.

We then drove Rouen > Le Mans > Tours > Bourges > Clermont-Ferrand > Narbonne on Day 2 (approx. 700 miles). Day 3 was an early start from Narbonne, then Girona > Barcelona > Valencia > Murcia (approx. 700 miles). These were long days - driving for 10-12 hours each day, so probably better to break it up with another stop. We also paid about €120 in tolls.

I agree with Eraser re- ViaMichelin and we also used Ibis hotels which were cheap & cheerful and also just on the outskirts of towns, so good for transport connections.

Hope this helps!

3 days - Day 1 - Glasgow> Calais; Day 2 - Calais > Narbonne; Day 3 - Narbonne > Lorca.
