If its a holiday home and you play a lot of golf and want a purpose built resort it's certainly an option....you would need a car if you want to travel about from there..there are lots of nearby other golf courses ..you don't need to be on a purpose built resort to enjoy them but again you would need your own transport

Well there you go...never had a problem with security with three houses in Spain..none on a golf complex ...grills ..shutters insurance and an alarm on one ...you need to check your service charge to see how that all adds up...or doesn't...Best wishes

Hi Coleman,

You would need a car to get around. We have lots of clients purchase on La Torre, however they tend to use the properties as second homes.

Are you looking for something on a resort or in a Spanish/International area?

Why don't you look at the Mar Menor Golf Resort then as it is closer to town.

My advice would always be to take a short holiday there and experience the place for yourself. La Torre is nice but is a fair distance from any beaches or restaurants so you’ll definitely need a car.

Also, the resort has ‘pool police’ to ensure no outsiders are using the resort, so be prepared to show your band to them if challenged…not something I’ve particularly enjoyed when stopping there!

There are lots of smaller gated communities on the Costa Calida so try and get a feel for a few if you get the opportunity.

We have a property in Lo Pagan which is just on a normal street and have never had any issues in the 6 years we’ve had it, and can walk to beaches and bars in under ten mins which we love.

Anyway, good luck! Andy

La torre is getting a bit tired with many empty units. Requilme is better with only one bar but well kept and better security and a lovely resort with tennis courts and nice pools. We have bought there. We play golf but like the outlook and manicured gardens. You might consider other gated communities which will be cheaper for communal fees but sometimes not so nice surrounding areas. Villa Martin has a lot facilities but surrounding areas are a bit tired now a days in my opinion
